The Systemic Design Association (SDA)
Who are we?
The Systemic Design Association provides an international community home for the wide range of designers and scholars leading emerging practices, design-led systems research, and advanced design methods evolving from systems thinking and design. Join the SDA today to access a range of unique tools and benefits, or renew to keep your relationship to the RSD community.
The SDA was formed to convene educators, practitioners, and researchers to co-evolve an interdisciplinary field over the long term
SDA supports the movement toward pragmatic systemic design practice development, applying the learning from the RSD Symposia to preferred methods and guidelines. The RSD Symposia series was initiated a decade ago in response to the rise of the systemic turn in design programs and studies, and the lack of direction in the literature. The SDA was formed to sustain this movement, to build a base of research and scholarship to support new design theory and practice in complex systems.
