Conversations & Communities

Exploring systemic dialogue, understanding, and co-creation within the IFSR community.

The New IFSR Conversations

The New IFSR Conversations build on a tradition that began in 1980 in Fuschl, Austria, where systems scientists met in small groups to explore systemic issues in depth. Inspired by pioneers like Bela H. Banathy, David Bohm, and Gordon Pask, these dialogues move beyond presentations toward co-created and experience-based inquiry. They foster shared understanding and continue to shape influential publications for the global systems community.

IFSR Dialogues

Since 2020, the IFSR has convened its members quarterly in online dialogues exploring the bigger picture of systems research approaches and practices worldwide. The learnings from these exchanges flow directly into the annual IFSR agendas and strengthen collaboration across the global systems community.
