Philippe Vandenbroeck
Philippe Vandenbroeck is a systems practitioner and researcher whose work moves fluidly between strategic design, futures inquiry, and artistic exploration. As co-founder of shiftN, he has shaped a consultancy practice that bridges disciplines, blending analytical rigour with an exploratory mindset. His work engages with questions of organisational strategy and societal transition, always guided by a curiosity about how systems shape our world and how we, in turn, shape them.
Alongside his consulting practice, Philippe is a doctoral researcher at the NEWROPE Chair of Architecture and Urban Transformation at ETH Zürich, where his inquiry focuses on the subtle dynamics of systemic change in urban contexts.
His broader work extends systems sensibility into the cultural and artistic domain, curating spaces where dialogue, inquiry, and imagination intersect. In parallel, his photographic and writing practice traces the poetics of landscape and transformation, reflecting his belief that systemic insight also arises from aesthetic and contemplative attention.
Holding degrees in Agronomy, Philosophy, and Human Settlements (KU Leuven), Philippe weaves scientific, humanistic, and spatial perspectives into a cohesive systems literacy.
