Dr Nam Nguyen
Dr Nam Nguyen is a systems thinking expert, tech innovation and management consultant, and Visiting Associate Professor at Adelaide University Business School. He has recently been appointed as an Academician of the International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences (IASCYS). Nam has experience and knowledge of more than 20 years teaching, researching, consulting with various companies, organisations in Australia, Asia, Africa, and Europe. He has received numerous awards and fellowships. The most significant award is the prestigious 2011 Davos Australian Leadership Award. In 2011, there were only 30 such Awards made to Australians from a wide spectrum of organisations and professions, recognising young leaders for their work and demonstrated vision for Australia’s future, as well as the outstanding experience and potential both within Awardees’ professions and with respect to their broader contributions.
Nam has held several management and leadership roles, currently being the R&D Director with Kensington Park Solutions (KPS, based in Adelaide), former R&D Director with the International Centre for Complex Project Management (ICCPM, headquartered in Canberra), former Director Australia and Southeast Asia with the Malik Management Group (Malik, headquartered in St. Gallen, Switzerland). He is also currently a Vice President of the International Federation for System Research (IFSR, Vienna).
Nam has developed a wide range of skills. He designs and delivers executive and customised training programs (in systems thinking, effective management, leadership, complex project delivery, etc) with various companies and organisations worldwide; and his consulting projects vary from organisational growth and transformation, sustainable development to systems design and complexity management (in many industries).
Nam lives in Adelaide and is passionate about travelling, hiking, playing tennis and golf.
